Right off the heels of State Championships, the 'kid' rolled right into try-outs for next years color guard squad. Camp was held Monday - Friday, with actual try-outs on Friday as well. I snapped this photo as she was working with some inbound freshman who were interested in trying out. She offered to help them perfect their flag and rifle techniques by working with them over the weekend at the house.
(check out that lovely brown dirt hill we call a back yard, but that is an entirely different post)
Anyway, results are in and she was selected to be a member of next years team. They will have a slightly larger squad with a total of (29) for marching season and (25) for the competition team.
We look forward to another exciting fall, but for right now we (she) is looking for a little rest and a few days off over the summer!
Where Tide Rolls and Eagles Soar Where Elephants stomp and Tigers Roar! Sweet Home Alabama!
