A Plan for Paradise

Welcome Spring, we are excited to finally see you!  Gone are the freezing temps, which waited until the end of the year to finally show up and then decided to stick around until way after Easter!  Why are we so excited about Winter's departure, well aside from the warmer temps we have been eagerly awaiting the end of winter so we could embark on our new landscape project.

Last spring, we met Denise who owns Green Thumb Garden Consulting and Design  (Green Thumb Consulting and Garden Design) at the Home Show held here in town.  We reached out to her to design a landscape plan, which would transform the mass of dead trees, vines and brush left untouched by the previous homeowner into a wooded show piece.

So after a few revisions we have a plan ( see photo below).  We are so excited, as the work began on moving this paper plan into a reality this week.  I will be posting some pictures of the clearing, grading, stump removals and river bed this evening so make sure to check back soon!

I promise to keep the pictures flowing during this process.  We are very blessed to be working with a great landscaping company Bloxham (Bloxham Landscape), Ian Bloxham the owner is a true artisan and professional and has been a pleasure to work with.   It is amazing to see the landscape transform right before our very eyes.  Be sure to check back later tonight...I am sure you will like what you see!
