Happy Birthday Miss Teenager!

Happy Birthday ...........Miss Teenager!
August 21, 2010 - Our daughter celebrated her thirteenth birthday. She has been waiting for this day "forever" if you listen to her. Upon opening her eyes the first thing out of her mouth was "I think I feel older". We were up and about early as we had planned a wonderful birthday celebration to make this momentous occasion.
The cake topper to the left was created by her grandmother. The numbers another one of my brilliant ideas, which was left to my mom to create. She cut the numbers out from a shoe box lid and then we added two types of glitter pink glitter to create the pop!
Ever girl deserves to be "pretty in pink" When I spied this hot pink limo I knew I had to rent it for this very important day. Our daughter had no idea she would be riding in a limo let alone a pink one. This made the party and everyone of the girls (mothers too) squealed at the sight of it!
Toasting to the "good life, good friends and great fun" Who knew birthdays could be soooo much fun!We arrive at the spa. The girls are in for the "royal" treatment to include custom made sugar scrubs, pedicures, manicures and lots of snacks for noshing! The girls pose for a picture in the spa courtyard.....aren't they a beautiful group! Now this is living a girl could get use to this type of treatment. Manicures, pedicure and candy served in glasses at our side!Back from the big event and taking time out for one last photo in front of our pink limo!Time for cake and presents........woo hoo!!
Time for some "real" food.....a girl can survive only so long noshing! Another cake this time it is chocolate....make a wish! Too "pooped" to party anymore, our cousin's shoulder became a great place to park her weary head....it is time we head home!
We had a wonderful day jammed pack with family, friends and fun! Our daughter began celebrating her "13th" birthday the moment she opened her eyes and held on for a full day until she could hold them open no longer.
So it is official now we are living with a "teenager" truly a milestone. I hadn't recovered from the fact that "our baby" was no longer a baby when she popped up and said "just think I can learn to drive in just two short years." my reply "OMG, let's just get use to you being thirteen and we will leave worrying about you driving for another night!"
