She'll be coming around the mountain when she comes!

Our daughter's 13th birthday is tomorrow and in keeping with a long family tradition established by our precious Aunt Buddy, our cousin is enroute from ATL to spend the weekend with us and participate in the celebration!
My Aunt NEVER missed a birthday for the first (10) years of our daughter's life. When she found herself unable to travel over the past few years, she would be the first outside of us to wish our daughter a Happy Birthday! She was so thoughtful and just when you least expected it the doorbell would ring and it would be a bouquet of flowers or balloons or mugs filled with candy and a stuffed animal arriving at our door.
She was on a first name basis with our florist, the local balloon company and Olive Garden. Why Olive Garden, because she knew our daughter's favorite desert ( her Dad's too) was Tiramisu from Olive Garden. So, she would place a call to our local restaurant purchase a flat of Tiramisu and call us to go pick it up and "surprise" her with it!
So, this is the first birthday she will be celebrating without our Buddy but we are sure to feel her presence. Cousin "M" is on her way as I type and we all ecstatic about seeing her! It will be great to be together. Stay tuned for details of her big "13th" outing....trust me it is enough to make a "big girl" squeal!
