Good Morning Mr. Swinehart!

My husband, along with two of his co-workers traveled at the end of July to a conference for the military. Upon returning to Korea he fell ill within just a few days and ended up at the hospital for treatment. The doctor said it is probably a virus, did a few swabs and sent him home with a handful of cold, cough and pain medications and placed him on quarters quarantine pending results of his swabs. So....he spent three days at home feeling like he was going to die and the rest of the week hoping he would. He finally began to feel human again only to be sent out for a field exercise. Well last night (late) I received a phone call from him stating the lab results were in and ( insert drum roll here)....................he tested positive for H1N1 AB Swine Flu. Yep, you heard it here first folks. Now he is ok, he has mended, but he was sick as a dog....oops I mean pig! Can you say jinxed? Upon entering Korea and after a brief stay at the post hotel he contracted the worst case of scabies they had ever seen. In fact, they had no idea what he had and it was only after he was diagnosis by you know who from across the pond that he was armed with enough information to tell the attending physicians what he thought he may have. He no sooner gets over this very traumatic event, then he contracts SWINE flu....oops I am sorry the politically correct term according to our new administration is H1N1 ( don't want to offend any pigs or pig farmers here!) So his Colonel is having a field day with this new information, and hasn't missed a beat at assigning new names or titles to him. After the scabies he was "bug boy", upon learning of the plate in his neck his co-workers began calling him TRON. My husband said he is now receiving e-mails and phone calls addressed to Mr. Swinehart! He said upon passing co-workers in the hall once they spy his name tag they are stepping off to the side. He is well, but the gang can't resist poking fun at his unfortunate circumstances. It goes without saying it has been a very eventful deployment and he is only (90) days into a year long assignment. I shudder to think of what could happen next! So please keep TRON, bug boy and swinehart in your prayers, he is going to need all the love and support he can get!
