We knew it was going to happen, but somehow we thought the time would pass by slower...alas it caught up with us and the result "B" is Korea bound. We headed out to the airport bright and early 0530 to be exact on Mothers Day. His flight took off around 9:15am and minus a connection flight in Atlanta, he was slated to arrive in Seoul in (14) short -not- hours.
We have had the opportunity to speak with him, and I got the low down on his flight. The plane was hot and had no air vents over the passengers seats. He was seated in a window seat, which just happen to be on the side of the plane that the SUN was beating down on! He managed to shove his inflight pillow between the window and the shade in an effort to create some type of insulation barrier in hopes he could stop the roasting and actually gain a few hours of sleep.
He arrived into Seoul around 4:30pm their time ( they are 14 hours ahead) and was greeted by some of his new office peers. Right now he is staying in the lodge located on the post, and he will be spending the bulk of this week in processing before he is assigned permanent quarters and required to head off to work.
