I was unable to locate a spare piece of tile, so you know what that means....NEW TILE!
About a year ago when one of the hotels in Clarksville was under going a renovation, I noted they installed wood grain tile, which I loved!  My hubby told me they just did the same thing at his office and he had the name of the tile installer. So, he dropped by this morning to grab some measurements and to show me a few samples.  Unfortunately none of his color samples were what I had in mind, so this afternoon the hubby and I went Jenkins Tile Store today to see what they had available.

It is a porcelain tile, which has the look of wood to include the raised grain and the durability of tile. Perfect, we ordered it and it will be delivered on Thursday. The tile guy is all set to rip up the existing floor under the watchful eye of my nephew to make sure it is to standards and lay the new tile.
So, now it is off to the cabinet shop for the final selections. I had picked out a stain color, but now that I am going to get new floors, I have opted to go with a ecru painted cabinet with an espresso brown stain...I can't wait.
It is sad when the best looking room in the house will be the laundry room, but alas that is where I spend 85% of my time anyway. I will just have to take folks who visit to it first so they will get to appreciate it as much as I do!
Stay tuned there will be pictures to share!
