Southeast Color Guard Circuit
We are off to attend the first competition of the Winter Guard season in Lawrenceburg TN. BJHS is an active member of the Southeastern Color Guard Circuit and looking forward to a great competitive season.
We are new to the Winter Guard team, well actually first year new to all of color guard. She made the Winter Guard squad at the close of band season and is really excited about performing competitively.
They have had some long practices, but have been blessed with a wonderful new coach/sponsor and some amazing drill instructors, and choreographers! The show is entitled Dolls in the Attic, and we can't wait to see them perform.
Their costumes for the routine did not arrive in time for this competition, so I won't be able to snap photos of that, but I will snap some of the girls and post them upon our return! Her Dad has been dubbed the official sponsor of the "Tarp Team" as we are the ones designated to transport the tarp to and from the events. He also is the keeper of the 20ft ladder, which he lets them borrow for practice and sports back and forth to the school. Thank goodness for Dad, they needed someone with some muscle to lift that tarp and ladder...they are HEAVY!
So we are off, wish them luck as always.....GO BOB JONES!!!!!
