The 'kid' actually noticed it first when she said earlier in the week "Mom, I think Lu is leaning to the right." She did seem to favor that ear, but the next day they were both upright and she was walking fine. This morning, not the same scenario and despite our attempts over the week to administer over the counter doggie ear cleaner and drying solution, a trip to the vet we had to make.
We began the search for a vet that was open on Saturdays...good luck with that. For a town that has a vet clinic on just about EVERY corner ( I am being truthful) finding one that is open on Saturday was not an easy task. My hubby said, "the vet business must be good, no need to work weekends." So, I started placing some calls to the folks I work with trying to get some recommendations.
A big "thank you" to my friend from work Meaghan who gave me the name of her vet this morning, as our Dr. Ben is a 3 hour trip away (each way). She said we would like her Dr. Dave and that he was very affordable ( my kind of language). They are open on Saturdays woo hoo! They got us in and about (20) minutes later we were leaving with ear wash and meds in hand. It should only take about (5) days from little Miss Lulu to begin feeling as good as new once again!
For now, the pool must go up and there will be no mid day romps through the water hose. Nope, it is going to become a very dry county for this little hound, at least until she is well!
