Many years ago when visiting my Aunt Buddy and cousins we took our daughter to her enjoy her first pedicure she was only (5) at the time. She was so little she was unable to sit in the spa chairs as her feet could not reach the water. From that visit on we made it our "girls" trip out and whenever we were in town me, my mother, Aunt, cousin and daughter would pile into the car, head for Twee's and all indulge in a spa pedicure.
Flash forward (7) years and while this is the first visit since the passing of our beloved Buddy, we decided to honor her memory by sticking to our "girls" tradition and so we piled into the car and headed to Twee's for our spa pedicures.
"M" decided to get her nails done instead and as you can see she is quite the pro. She has multi-tasking down to a fine science as she talks to her brother on the phone, gets her nails painted and poses for a picture all at the same time. "O" older and taller now can actually sit in the spa chairs and insisted on have a designed painted upon her toes. Mom and I opted for the standard spa treatment...it was the bomb!
Of course when we left home it was still in the 30's, so packing flip-flops or sandals did not seem like a wise clothing choice. So we had to suck it up and wear the stylish "foam" flip-flops, which come in a variety of colors....check out the orange ones on O's feet. I didn't realize until I snapped this photo that she had picked out a color, which matched her sweater....geez!
