Biltmore - Riverbend Farm

On Sunday we made our way down to the Riverbend Farm. In times gone by this is where the blacksmith resided, along with the estate farmers and dairy hands. Biltmore once known for producing dairy products of outstanding quality founded the Biltmore Dairy company. The label is still in existence today, albeit operating under the name of Pet Milk. We had the chance to tour the farm yard, and see the garden to kitchen program, which is responsible for providing the majority of fruits, vegetables and herbs used in the restaurants on Biltmore property. O had an opportunity to try her hand at candle making, which she really enjoyed, though the farmyard petting pen was her favorite feature hands down!
