Seventy-Six trombones led the big parade, with a hundred and ten cornets close at hand. They were followed by rows and rows of the finest virtuo-Sos, the cream of ev'ry famous band.   Sound familiar?  Well, if you have ever watched or heard the musical "The Music Man" you would certainly recognize this song!

On Sunday, the kid ( Grandmother and Mom) in tow spent four hours auditioning for a part in the upcoming musical The Music Man, which is produced and directer by The Chorus.  This is the youth chorus, which is attached to the Huntsville Community Chorus.

This is a large presentation, which if accepted will require a summer full of nightly practices, coupled with (9) days of actual stage performances.  They will be presented at the Von Braun Convention Center and are sure to delight!

First things first, she had to complete her application and then stand in line to get a number.  She sang an excerpt from My Fair Lady ... "I could have danced all night", read some lines from the script and had to learn some fast paced choreography on the fly, which was part of the process as well.

At the end they advised they would be posting the cast list soon.  We are hopefully as she was actually one of the few she who they stopped to get her measurements..that is a good sign right?!?

So, stay tuned for an update on whether she has been successful in her bid to participate in her first full all out stage musical!  We are so excited ( fingers crossed)
