It was military appreciation night, and the first game between the new city high school - James Clemons. It was a hot sultry Alabama night in the low 90's with the sun down! The stands were pack, in fact the game was sold out 5000+ in attendance ( CA never came close to that number - ever!). Bob Jones Marching Band is comprised of 257 members, and spans from one end of the field to the other when all are in attendance.
The bands performed separately and them together on the field in a joint salute to the troops. The game was a blow out with Bob Jones (stomping) the jets 72 to nothing ( hang our heads in shame for mopping up the field - NOT!). They topped off the show with a 15+ minute fire works display, it was truly a sight to see.
So here are some shots of that evening, hope you enjoy! Hey (C), I will kick it in gear and get my post flowing once again! Night all!
O in the stands with her color guard team mate ( full performance make-up/glitter and all!).
This is a video of the color guard and band entering the field. The color guard enters from the right. 'O' is in the group straddling the 35 yard line. She is the one that 'pops' out of the circle. She is on the '30' yard line when the flags begin to twirl, and on the 50 yard line at the end of the song when they begin to march off the field.
Band exiting the fields and the fire works begin.
