Back Porch

One of the first things I wanted to do upon moving into this house was to remove the back porch.  It served no real function for us.  The panels were too high, which meant you could not place furniture on it and actually see out of the screens.  In addition, it just seemed to 'close' in the back of the house.  So finally, we are tearing down the porch.

The home builder provided "B" with the name of the man who erected the columns for the rest of the house.  He gave him a call and bing..bang..boom, the columns were being poured and his crew arrived this morning to begin breaking down the porch!  It looks better already.

I have snapped some photos (surprise) and put them into this photoshow.  The construction is complete for today, but they will be back here Monday morning to start the column installation...can't wait to see the finished product!  So stay tuned more coming your way!
