My sister found some spare time to bake a cake with her spider monkey of a niece! This recipe she dug up from the “Sing for your Supper” blog. It is a cinnamon sugar pound cake and boy was it wonderful!
It was comical to watch all the kitchen high jinks. Keeping a thirteen year old on task isn't the easiest thing in the world, especially when all she can think about is getting to lick the beaters!
Our daughter loved the fact that she had creative license to decorate it with valentine day hearts and icing once it was done! Of course there is no accounting for how many of the hearts she actually consumed before the cake was decorated…..I guess that will have to be there little secret!
