Welcome to our Winter Wonderland

Nasty weather last night yielded a blanket of white beauty this morning. Everything looks so clean and bright with a new white coat of snow, and while we didn't have all that much accumulation (only about 2 - 2 1/2) inches, it will still enough to give everything a good covering.
We heard the street department was running low on salt, so they closed a few of the main roads, which meant I was able to work from home and of course schools were closed. Here are a few shots of what greeted us this morning!
I was glad I didn't have to scrap off all the snow from the VW bug this morning.
The temps are scheduled to dip down into the teens tonight, so it looks like most of this will be hanging around for the weekend. Plus, it looks like we will have an opportunity for a little more over the next five days.
Guess I won't put away our snow shovel just yet!
