Schools out for the Summer!

Woo hoo!!! school is out for the summer. I snapped this picture of our daughter on Wednesday, May, 26, which was her last day of 7th grade. She only had a 1/2 day scheduled as their semester final exams were spread out over (2) days.

The day before I took her to get her hair cut. She has been toying with the idea of cutting it shorter, but there never seemed to be enough time between football and basketball cheer seasons. So, with (2.5) months of summer ahead of her and now cheer engagements until the end of August, first of September she decided to cut it off and where is short and sassy for the summer.

When her dad and I went to pick her up after exams she proudly proclaimed "oh yes, I'm an 8th grader". It is amazing how fast time has flown by, I swear I can remember her graduating from pre-k, it seems just like yesterday.

School may be out, but we are looking forward to a slam packed summer calendar. Straight off the heels of Memorial Day weekend is her tooth extraction, which is followed by (2) weeks of Drama camp in Nashville and then braces, which are scheduled to be fitted on June 22nd.

Alas, there is no rest for the weary!
