Choirfest

While the snow may be falling outside and every county in middle TN is closed due to the snow, our daughter is happily boarding a bus and heading for the local state university to participate in Choirfest.

The music professor at the university invited all of the middle school choirs in our county to participate. They will spend the day singing as a collective unit, working on hand selected pieces of music just for this occasion. Later this afternoon, they will present a free concert, which will showcase all that they have learned.

She has been really excited about this opportunity for sometime now. In addition to having the chance to meet new people, they are all pretty jazzed about receiving the obligatory t-shirt and of course pizza for lunch ( it is all about the little things you know).

Anyway, I am heading off to work so that I can take off a little early today to see her perform. I will take my camera along, hopefully we will be permitted to take some photos or at the very least sneak a little video.
