Christmas at the Courthouse

We have had a really busy day today. It started with our daughter performing in the winter recital for the Community School of the Arts. That was followed by a choral performance on the steps of our Courthouse. The intermediate and show choir of our daughter's school were invited to perform at the annual lighting of the Christmas tree ceremony. They performed three songs and were followed by the show choir, along with several other local schools. After their performance, we headed into the courthouse for a cup of hot chocolate and cookies. We hung around for the annual Christmas parade, which began on Main street and wound its way up and around downtown. We topped off the evening by joining friends at the Franklin Street Pub & Grill for dinner. The weather was cold and brisk but the company was warm, friendly and enjoyable. It was a great ending to a very exciting day!
