Ice Capades
My husband had the opportunity to return to the states for a military conference, which meant he was able to make a "side" trip home. Our daughter really wanted to take a few friends ice skating, and while the group wasn't as large as she had originally intended ( scheduling conflicts) she was able to gather her close "girl" friends and head into Nashville for a day of ice skating and fun.
My husband and I went with them, we rented skates and even hit the ice. HIT is the operative word here, as that is what "B" did. He hit it with his knees, head, behind, hip etc. The girls all managed to spend their fair share mopping up the water puddles on the ice as well. Please note, I was the only one who did not fall, and managed to skate 80+ minutes without any injuries.
I will say as we first stepped out on the ice, we were of one mind and one thought and that was "this isn't nearly as easy as I remember it being." Keep in mind, the last time I can recall us ice skating together, was on one of our first dates, and I did manage to do a Pete Rose across the ice on that occasion.
Though it was harder than we remember, we all had a lot of fun. Give it a try if you have a day off and nothing planned you won't be disappointed and you may just "discover" your inner child!
