What a Gaggle!

Mom and I were on our way home the other day from dropping my husband's truck at the body shop (don't ask...long story and no I was not responsible). Anyway, we took the back street into our subdivision and what did we stumble upon but two separate gaggles of turkeys.
The first grouping consisted of a very young Tom and four very small females. The second group consisted of an older Tom and a young Tom and about 10-12 females.
I wasted no time in dumping my poor mother out on the side of the road, armed with nothing but a digital camera and instructions to get some pictures of those turkeys for the blog! As you can tell she got some really good shots.
Just the morning before while driving our daughter to school she cried out "Turkeys Mom". Yep, there they were about 6 - 10 on the side of the road. You can always tell when we are heading into the cooler fall months as the turkeys increase their personal appearances.
Better be careful Mr. Turkey, you never know when you will stumble upon an eager hunter just hoping to be the first of his friends to "bag" a turkey for Thanksgiving!
