It is so Groovy!

Today begins "spirit week" at our daughter's school. Today was decade day, where you dressed in one of your favorite decade apparel. As you can see our child decided to be super groovy in her lime green frock, hot pink and white tights, head band and peace necklace.
Here is the spirit line up :
  • Tuesday - Twin Day she and her buddy "B" are dressing alike. I already made a run to Justice to purchase matching shirts and ribbons for their hair!
  • Wednesday - Elderly Day age limit (90). I am thinking rolled down support hose and over sized dress, glasses and a sweater, but we will have to see how open she will be to that idea.
  • Thursday - Color Wars. This is where each grade level from 6th to 12th is assigned a specific color. They are given an area of the school and they decorate anything and everything in that area their color. This year the seventh grade has green and they have been making plans for the last week on how they are going to turn their area into a green showplace.
  • Friday - Blue and Gold Day . They will dress in blue and gold. I am sure some will paint their hair and faces, it happens every year. Ours will be easy as she will wear her cheer uniform and call it a day!

I am sure we had some type of spirit days when I was in junior high, but I don't believe they lasted an entire week. Either way, she was all dressed up and ready to roll this morning. I love it when they have the opportunity to let down their hair and be kids!
