Well, it is that time of year again, summer is on the wane and school is gearing up to begin. Of course prior to the start of the actual school year, we begin our cheer and sports practices. Our daughter's middle school cheer camp began on Wednesday, and she could hardly contain her enthusiasm. The camp is ran by the Universal Cheer leading Association ( click on the blog title for more information on UCA), Emily is the cheer instructor for our group and the girls just love her! Over the next few days they will learn new sideline cheers, full cheers, stunts and dances.
Of course our know no fear child has elected to remain as one of the designated flyers for the squad. She just "lives" to climb to the top of someone shoulders and be thrown into a basket toss or elevator lift! 
There are several new squad members, some are new to middle school and others have migrated over from the dance team electing to pursue cheer instead. It is a great group of girls and we are looking forward to a season of high adventure, terrific stunts and unparalleled spirit!
I have been designated the "unofficial" squad photographer, so don't you know I am now on the hunt for a high speed digital SLR, with HD video capability. Look out for some terrific pictures and video snippets of this seasons cheer highlights!
